Former Texas State Rep. Randy Pennington Endorses Republican Greg Hill for Congressional District 22

PEARLAND, TX – Today, former Texas State Representative Randy Pennington announced his endorsement of Greg Hill to be the next congressman for Texas’ 22nd Congressional District.  Pennington served in the Texas House from 1981-1992 and is active in the Sagemont area of Houston, fighting for lower taxes and less government interference.

“When I first went to the Texas Legislature, I was focused on supporting Ron Paul and drawing lines for Congressional District 22 that reflected the values of its residents,” said Pennington.  “I haven’t endorsed a single candidate for District 22 since then… until now.”

“I believe this is our last chance to elect a true conservative to represent District 22, and that’s why I fully support Greg Hill.  Unlike other candidates in this race, Greg understands the values of this community, because he is part of the community.  He is not part of the swamp, and will fight for District 22 in Congress.”

A lifelong Republican and district resident, Greg served as a U.S. Border Patrol agent before returning home and serving three terms on the Pearland City Council. In 2018, Hill ran for Brazoria County Court-at-Law Judge and was one of the top voter getters, receiving more votes than any of the Republican statewide candidates.

“Randy Pennington is a legend in the Sagemont area,” said Hill.  “He has done so much for the community, and he continues to exemplify what it means to be a servant leader.  His endorsement is very special, and I will work hard to represent all areas and all the people of Congressional District 22.”

Greg is married to his wife Amy Hill, and they have two children, Isabella and Ford. They are active in their local church, and Greg serves on numerous boards and commissions in the community.

PEARLAND, TX – Today, Texas Alliance for Life endorsed Greg Hill for Congress in Texas’ 22nd Congressional District.  Texas Alliance for Life is a nonprofit organization of people committed to protecting the fundamental right to life of all innocent human beings and to promoting respect for their value and dignity from the moment of conception until natural death.

“I’m so honored to receive the endorsement of Texas Alliance for Life,” said Hill.  “I believe that innocent human life is sacred, and we should do everything we can to end the scourge of abortion.  With each life that is saved, we not only give that individual the opportunity to grow and thrive and be happy, but we foster a culture of life rather than a culture of violence.”

Republican Greg Hill’s Statement on Leading the Field in Grassroots Fundraising

Republican Greg Hill’s Statement on Leading the Field in Grassroots Fundraising

PEARLAND, TX – Republican Greg Hill, a candidate for Texas’ Congressional District 22, issued the following statement regarding 2019 fundraising and his clear victory in garnering support from grassroots conservatives across the entire district.

Hill raised more money within Congressional District 22 than any other candidate in the race. Hill also had more contributions from people inside CD 22 than any other candidate. In fact, Greg Hill raised more money from inside CD 22 than Troy Nehls, Pierce Bush, and Kathaleen Wall… COMBINED.

“I am so honored to have the support of the ACTUAL VOTERS I’m hoping to represent in Congress: members of my community, people who have been through so much, people who represent diverse careers, backgrounds, and interests.

“I was born and raised in Congressional District 22. Leading all candidates in both funds raised and in the number of individual contributions from the district shows that people want a grassroots leader, someone who is one of them. The people of CD 22 reject outsiders who are just trying to buy a congressional seat based on a name or on deep pockets.

“I have served as a Border Patrol agent, city council member, and judge. I know the district, because I am part of the district. My roots are here. My family is here. Today’s numbers show that the people of CD 22 value leadership, experience, and a commitment to the local community. I will work hard everyday to return their faith by being a congressman they can be proud of.”

Republican Greg Hill’s Statement on Rep. Pete Olson’s Endorsement of Pierce Bush: The Swamp Lives

Republican Greg Hill’s Statement on Rep. Pete Olson’s Endorsement of Pierce Bush: The Swamp Lives

PEARLAND, TX – Republican Greg Hill, a candidate for Texas’ Congressional District 22, issued the following statement regarding retiring Rep. Pete Olson’s endorsement of opponent and establishment favorite, Pierce Bush.

“Today’s endorsement affirms that the swamp is alive and well in Washington, D.C. The D.C. establishment is trying to manipulate this race by throwing their full support behind a celebrity candidate who doesn’t live in our district and who even marched in the streets of New York City in protest of President Trump.

“The residents of Congressional District 22 deserve better. I was born and raised in Congressional District 22, and I have served this community as a prosecutor, city council member, and judge. This is the same kind of ‘swamp tactic’ that voters have rejected, and we don’t need it in Congressional District 22.

“A vote for the D.C. establishment will ensure more of the same: more inaction on border security, more national debt, and more out of touch politicians. I pledge to stand with President Trump to drain the swamp, not become part of the problem.

“I want to earn each and every vote in this race based on merit, based on experience, and based on a commitment to represent the people of the community I grew up in. I believe in sincerity over celebrity and conviction over connections. Let’s put people over politics.”
